There was a time when the idea of a road trip with kids made my eye twitch just a little.

Snacks everywhere… “Are we there yet?” on repeat… someone crying because someone else breathed in their direction.

But after years of traveling with little ones — from beach trips to mountain drives to quick weekend escapes — I’ve learned that the right tools make all the difference.

Today I’m sharing the exact travel items that finally made our road trips peaceful, organized, and honestly… enjoyable.

In 2024 we traveled over 150 hours in the car, making 24+ trips, with ZERO screen time!

These are things we actually use, love, and keep stocked in the car at all times.

1. Car Backseat Organizer

A simple organizer can change your entire car experience.

No more digging under seats or passing things back and forth every 30 seconds.
